What credit cards do you accept payment from?
USD- Visa, Mastercard and Discover
CAD- Visa, Mastercard and American Express
What are the fees for payment processing?
Billing Portal (with or without payment processing)- $9 per classroom per month
Credit Card Transactions with payment processing- 2.9% transaction fee which is deducted before funds are deposited into your account.
EFT/ACH Transactions with payment processing- $0.60 per transaction.
Tip: Most centers factor in the credit card and EFT/ACH transaction fees into their child care fees to cover for payment processing.
How long does it take to have the funds in my account?
Credit Card- 1-3 business days
Note: Most customers reported seeing the funds in 1 business day
ACH/EFT- 3-5 business days
Can I apply a partial payment to an invoice?
Unfortunately not with payment processing. The invoice must be paid in full from one banking account.
A parent needs to edit their banking information- how can I edit/remove it?
The parent can edit the information on their side under their invoice settings. If the banking information needs to be switched over to another parent, it can be done once the first parent removes their information. Then, the second parent can add their banking information from their HiMama login on the app or web browser.
Can a parent overpay on an invoice to create a credit?
Not yet! But we're working on it :)
What does Retry and Failed mean?
Retry- Usually this indicates insufficient funds.If you would like HiMama to automatically retry the payment, you'll need to turn on the "Retry" setting under your billing settings.
When this setting is turned on, HiMama will try processing the credit card 2 times per day indefinitely. For EFT/ACH accounts it will retry every 3-5 days.
If this setting is turned off, HiMama will not automatically try the payment and the director must manually retry the payment on each invoice.
Failed- HiMama has tried to process the bank account and has not been successful or the banking information is incorrect. The payment will be marked as Failed and an automated email will go out to the parent email (who is attached as the payee) informing them.
Where can my families find their tax receipt and a list of all paid invoices for their children?
In their app and on a web browser from their HiMama account! They can see a current total for all their children and access receipts for tax purposes,
as well as their invoice history for all children along with the payment statuses.
