Taking attendance in HiMama can be done in so many ways!
The most common way is from the Classroom Homescreen. When a teacher logs onto HiMama using their Classroom Username, this is where they'll arrive. To come back here from another screen, use the house icon in the top left corner.
From here, they'll simply check the children in as they arrive by selecting the green "Check In" button beside each child's name. This will automatically clock the child in at the time the button was selected, so no more writing in the time the child arrived!
At the end of the day, select the red "Check Out" button to time-stamp when the child is leaving the center, and finish attendance for the day.
If a teacher is having trouble checking in a child from the Classroom Homescreen, it might be because the child was checked in late in the day yesterday (more about that here), or because they weren't scheduled for that day. Either way, select the "Enrollment" button, at the bottom of the Classroom Homescreen.
From here, find the child in question, and select "Actions". The option to check the child in here will be available. Again, this is meant to be used only if you can't check a child in from the Homescreen!
Teachers can also do attendance from the Update Screen. Use the plus icon in the top right corner to navigate to the update screen.
From here, select "Check in" to take attendance. Teachers can select one child at a time, or multiple children, in case a number of children arrive at once. Finally, select the green "Update Entry" button to log the child's attendance.
